Embracing harmony

About Us

Colors of Music is a creative arts therapy nonprofit which aims to guide clients to be their best selves. We provide a supportive and grounded environment for clients to explore their emotions, thoughts, and passions through the transformative power of the creative arts. Our personalized therapy sessions focus on each individual's unique needs and goals while helping them navigate life's challenges, achieve well-being, and encourage growth.

What is creative arts therapy?

Creative arts therapies use artistic modalities, such as art, music, and dance to address clinical goals. Goal domains may include socio-emotional, behavioral, cognitive, physical, speech, and much more!

What is music

therapy?

Music therapy views musical experiences as therapeutic and a potential vehicle for accomplishing goals. Experiences may include songwriting, improvisation, composition, song recreation, and more. Music therapy can be tailored towards any age and developmental level and has been clinically proven to be effective with many different groups of people (e.g., in schools, mental health settings, hospitals, hospice, etc.).

What is dance and movement therapy?

Dance/movement therapy (DMT) is defined by the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA) as the psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration of the individual, for the purpose of improving overall health and well-being.

"My son willingly goes to see Emily at Colors of Music at Marlton. He loves looking at the instruments, listening to her sing and joining in at the end. I highly recommend Ms. Emily and Colors of Music!"
